The Best Face Mask for Your Skincare Routine

Black Face Mask

As Halloween is rearing is ugly head around the corner, it’s never been a better time to keep up healthy skin care habits. Especially when the moon sets on Halloween night and the masks come off, revealing the true horrors all that grotesque Halloween makeup has done to your skin. A Halloween face mask skincare routine should be a top priority in order to avoid any setbacks in your face mask skincare routine.

A great way to make sure your skin is still healthy and glowing after a rough night of neglect is a rejuvenating face mask to bring the glow back to your skin. Having a face mask skincare routine can be a fantastic tool to have in our beauty arsenal, but like all beauty products, face masks are not created equal. Face mask skin care treatments are designed with specific goals in mind. Mainly to help your skin become supple and hydrated. And depending on your skin type, address specific concerns to help suit your skin concerns.

Depending on your preference for a skincare routine, you may prefer a more natural take on face mask skincare. If that is the case, a custom face mask skin care regime is the way to go. Using all-natural ingredients is guaranteed to work wonders for your skin. As discussed in my previous post, natural skincare tips, homemade skincare products can brighten skin, take care of pores and acne, and leave your skin feeling hydrated in no time. Here are a few custom face mask skincare recommendations that are easy to try at home.

DIY FACE MASKS

Deep clean Skin Face Mask

Works best if you have larger pores and unsightly blemishes. Combine a tbsp Indian healing or bentonite clay along with 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar and use it for 10 mins and rinse off. Moisturize your skin to hydrate the skin.

Remove blackheads Face mask

This mask helps to clear blackheads and reduces the size of pores naturally. Combine 1 tbsp baking soda and 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar and use on the blackheads for 5-10 minutes. Or use 1/4 tsp of organic true cinnamon powder with 2 tbsp of raw honey. Gently scrub off the area and rinse it off. ** Do not use cinnamon if you have sensitive skin

Egg white pore minimizing mask

Beat an egg white along with honey until it is thick. Thoroughly clean your face and apply the mask using a brush. Allow the mask to dry completely. Your skin will feel tight whilst the mask dries. To remove, just rinse off the mask using cold water.

Yogurt pore minimizing mask

Make a deep facial cleanser with two tablespoons of yogurt along with 1 tablespoon pureed cucumber. Mix the ingredients together to make a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your face and gently massage in a circular motion for a few minutes. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat dry.

A face mask skin care routine offers a variety of benefits to your skin whether it’s used as a way to pamper and relax or an integral part of your skincare regimen. Growing in popularity, there is now an abundance of different types of face masks available, and choosing the right one for your skin can be a bit of a challenge. Below are a few options of different masks that are effective for different skin types.

FACE MASK FOR DIFFERENT SKIN TYPES

Clay Masks

Clay masks are ideal for people with oily or acne-prone skin, as the clay in the mask helps to draw out impurities and absorb oil. Because clay has more of an absorbing effect, it dries out spots and reduces pores, helping to reduce the risk of breakouts, and making your skin look a lot smoother.

Mud Masks

Mud masks tend to be nourishing and exfoliating and are best for all skin types. Like clay masks, mud masks draw oil from the pores, yet their higher water content also offers hydrating benefits. Mud masks also help to tighten the skin and balance out the complexion.

Bubble Mask

As the name may suggest, bubble masks bubble up when applied to the skin, foaming up into quite a fun mask. Bubble masks are available in tubes or as a sheet mask, but should be applied away from the mouth and nose as no one wants bubbles getting in the way of breathing! The bubbles help to invigorate and energize the skin, as well as an evening out skin tone and smoothing pores. Bubble masks are great for drier skin, and at colder times of the year, as it helps to hydrate and brighten the skin.

Charcoal Masks

Charcoal is incredible at drawing out impurities, dirt, and oil, and its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for acne-prone skin. Therefore, charcoal masks are the best for deep cleansing and de-clogging pores. If you have dry skin then it is best to steer clear of a charcoal mask, as it will take away the oil you need to keep your skin hydrated. Follow using a charcoal mask with a light moisturizer that doesn’t clog the pores.

Peel-off Masks

Peel-off masks work by stripping the outer layer of the skin as the mask is peeled off, removing any dead skin and dirt. This helps to create smooth and glowing skin, although less is usually gained beneath the surface. After using a peel-off mask, be sure to use SPF – either as a sunscreen or in a moisturizer or foundation – as it can leave your skin sensitive.

While face mask skincare comes with undeniable benefits, in today’s world of social media not many people see much worth in anything unless; it’s Instagram worthy. People are no longer content with the average white cotton sheet mask. They want fun, glamour, dazzle. Face masks worthy of a hashtag. Thankfully, skincare brands are coming up with plenty of fashion-forward face masks where form-meets-function. Below are just a few examples of the many cute face mask skincare some beauty companies have come up with.
